The 2025/26 Arabian Warrior season officially launched this weekend at Fujairah Adventure Park with a high-intensity Sprint Edition event, drawing more than 700 participants, including 250 student athletes from regional schools, competitors from The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), and a strong field of elite OCR and gym athletes.

The event marked the beginning of the UAE’s first-ever Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) League, setting a new standard for grassroots and elite fitness competition
across the nation.

Athletes took on a 2.5km sprint challenge course, featuring team relays and individual races designed to test strength, endurance, and resilience, the very traits
that define the Arabian Warrior race series.

The vibrant race village showcased energy and innovation, with wellness and sports partners including Flinki, Bisleri, Gym Sox, Gym Skin, Runnies, and Red Bull, supported by recovery specialists ARC Recovery and The Recovery Code.

“Arabian Warrior has always been about inspiring the next generation of athletes through challenge, teamwork, and community,” said Race Director Nic Cartwright. “Launching the OCR League here in Fujairah is a statement of intent. This is the season where the UAE truly steps onto the global OCR stage.”

Adding to the momentum, Amr Essam, CEO of Fujairah Adventure Park, commented: “Hosting the Arabian Warrior launch event has been an incredible showcase of Fujairah’s potential as a hub for adventure and endurance sport. The energy, participation, and innovation here today are exactly what we aim to nurture in our community.”

The event blended competition, music, and family-friendly activities, creating a festival atmosphere that celebrated both athletic excellence and community spirit.

For the 2025/26 academic year, Arabian Warrior Arabian Warrior, will work in collaboration with the UAE School and University Sports Federation (UAESUSF), the UAE School Games team and the UAE University Games team, officially embedding OCR into the nation’s student games calendar. On November 15th, Arabia Warrior takes over Dubai Festival City in partnership with Dubai Festival City Mall, expanding the Arabian Warrior experience to include youth, elite, and community categories right in the heart of Dubai.
