First Heat of the Day
- Distance - 3.5km - 5km
- Racers carry a Wounded Warrior on the course (this is a log)
- Racers - 4 adults (+13) in each Team | Must have both gender represented
- Run on the AW 3.5km - 5km course
- Time based on the time the log completes. Heavy time penalty for obstacle failure
- Prize money for top 3 teams
5KM KSA Schools
Team Championships
- Distance - 5KM
- Racers - 4 People in each Team | Must have both gender represented
- Run on the AW 3.5km - 5km course
- Racers carry a “Wounded Warrior” with them a weighted sandbag
- Time based on the time the sandbag completes
- Trophy for largest school number only

Please note that if you are bringing your own tent, it must not exceed 4m x 4m.

What to Bring
Required to enter the event:
- A valid photo ID (digital copy accepted)
- Participant ticket (printed or on phone)
Recommended:
- Card and cash
- Fresh change of clothes
- Hat and sunscreen
For the race:
- A good pair of running shoes with good cushioning, traction, and drainage
- Form-fitting, lightweight, breathable gear.
For the village and campsite:
- Change of clothes for the number of days you are in attendance
- Sleeping bag and suitable bedding (if taking the tented option)
- Temperature average in May 37C(98F) highs to 19C(67F) lows

Dress Code:
Dress code depends on the individual establishments. Some are casual and some require more sophisticated dress. Women do not need to wear a head cover or an abaya. Places of worship do require you to dress modestly while visiting.
Language:
The official language of Saudi Arabia is Arabic, but English is widely spoken in AlUla and around the country. All road signs are bilingual, showing information in Arabic and English.
Culture:
Saudi Arabia’s rich heritage and traditions have been shaped by its position as a historic trade hub and the birthplace of Islam. In recent years, the Kingdom has undergone a significant cultural transformation, evolving century-old customs to fit the contemporary world we live in today.
Currency:
The local currency is Saudi Riyal (SAR)
Etiquette:
Bad language, loud behavior and encroaching on other people’s boundaries are considered disrespectful. Respectful public decorum is always advised.
Temperature/Climate:
October through April range from 10-25C (45-70F). It does get colder in the evenings.
May through September temperatures range from 20-35C (50-95F).
