10 Easy Eco-Hacks to Live More Sustainably
Buy Pre-loved items - Especially clothing.
Cycle don't drive.
Eat local - buy from local “homegrown” businesses. Buy locally grown fruit and veg from the supermarkets or farmers markets. This will not only decrease your carbon footprint but also help the local economy and small business owners.
Get a recycling app - There are many companies in Dubai that will collect your household items (plastic, paper, metal, electronics, clothing, etc.) and recycle them for a small fee or sometimes for free.
Become a smart gardener. Grow organic fruit, veg and herbs indoors.
Go plant based. Following a vegan diet results in less climate-heating emissions and water pollution, then following a meat based diet.
Install a water filter in your home. This will reduce your plastic consumption. You can enjoy fresh clean water straight from your tap.
Use public transportation.
Switch out your toiletries by using products that are refillable or are plastic free.
There are several organizations in Dubai looking for volunteers to help with beach clean up, recycling, dog walking, etc.
